Arnold D. Jackson, Retired Naval Air Crewman and Avionic Technician at U.S. Navy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military service.

With many years of service to his credit, Mr. Jackson found much success as a naval air crewman and avionic technician with the U.S. Navy between his enlistment in 1989 and his retirement in 2009. After a rocky youth in Chicago, he eventually discovered a passion for running and became one of the top runners in Illinois during his time in high school. He subsequently sought a higher education in Oregon, and his desire to maintain an on-the-go lifestyle led him to the U.S. Navy. Mr. Jackson was also driven by the U.S. Navy’s principles of adaptability and flexibility, which was instilled in him and prepared him to properly deal with sudden changes.

Mr. Jackson was likewise motivated by his experiences with electronics, refining his own knowledge through night school classes as well as the cultural development of computers evolving throughout the 1980s. He was initially assigned to an attack submarine squadron, in which he was tasked with caring for reconnaissance equipment. Attributing his success to his honor, courage, commitment and patience, he fondly recalls working with his colleagues in the U.S. Navy as his work was largely a team effort. In the coming years, Mr. Jackson hopes to continue serving as a subject matter expert and teacher in his field, though he was also offered the position of assistant pastor at a local church.
