Mr. Sharpe, distinguished for his expertise in military affairs and defense, has been instrumental in his role as a program manager at S3 Inc. (System Studies and Simulation) in Huntsville, Alabama, since 2024. A woman-owned company founded over 30 years ago, S3 Inc. provides technical services for the United States Department of Defense (DOD), NASA, foreign nations and commercial customers. Leveraging his extensive background working with the DOD and military organizations, Mr. Sharpe has garnered tremendous success in this sector.

Before being acquired by S3 Inc., Mr. Sharpe was the director of federal, state and tribal solutions at Peterman and Sons Solutions LLC, a transportation and logistics company, in Huntsville from 2021 to 2024. He previously worked for Millennium Systems and Service Inc. as a deputy program manager between 2019 and 2021 in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Mr. Sharpe also excelled with LogiCore Corporation as the deputy program manager in Huntsville from 2014 to 2019. The company works with engineering software, design and development of information technology solutions and life cycle logistics for the DOD, government and commercial clients.

Beginning his career in 1992 as the director of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mr. Sharpe then became an administrative judge for the Mississippi State Department of Health from 1994 to 2002 and the director of emergency planning and response between 2005 and 2009. He also excelled as an associate attorney general in Mississippi. Mr. Sharpe enjoyed a tenured career in law that spanned over 40 years.

Mr. Sharpe also had a stellar career in the U.S. Army, both on active and non-active duty. His most notable roles included chief of logistics and sustainment command in Alabama. He also excelled as the chief of mobilization training at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and an operations officer at Fort Benning, Georgia. Mr. Sharpe served in the military from 2002 to 2014. He received a Combat Action Award and was decorated with a Bronze Star for his active duty military service. However, his most significant achievement during his tenure in the U.S. Army was establishing the Iraqi Army in January 2004. Mr. Sharpe had the unique opportunity to oversee the first battalion of Iraqi infantry, guiding them through recruitment, training and active combat.

Mr. Sharpe received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on management and operations from Mississippi State University in 1980 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Mississippi in 1983. He was admitted to practice by the Mississippi Bar Association in 1983. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Sharpe was active on the dean’s council and The Free Law Society and was a brass member of the Mississippi State’s band.

Throughout his long and successful career, Mr. Sharpe’s expertise with industry and defense contractors and the management of defense contracts have been pivotal to his later success. His added experience in crisis management, intelligence analysis, law enforcement, emergency management, and program and project management has also shaped his career.

As a leader in his community, Mr. Sharpe received the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He credits much of his professional success to his upbringing, hard work, military background and the guidance and support of several remarkable mentors.
