Mr. Johnson is lauded for his expertise as a senior doctrine writer for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) since 2018. In his role, he specializes in producing technical documentation with tactical proficiency. He also conducts the information debrief to the D.C. and online registry, manages the daily work needs of his branch as a senior chief development writer, and, among many other tasks, is responsible for all the maneuver tactics for charity organizations for security. Leveraging many years of expertise in service under his military occupational specialty, Mr. Johnson is recognized as the subject matter expert for his branch.

The DOD is recognized as the nation’s largest government agency. Its mission is to provide the military forces required to deter war and ensure the country’s security. The DOD is headquartered at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and has over 4,800 sites across more than 160 countries.

Before joining the DOD, Mr. Johnson became a cavalry branch doctrine writer for the Maneuver Center of Excellence/Directorate of Training and Doctrine in 2020, a position he still holds today. As such, he ensures that the cavalry branch remains aligned with the U.S. Army’s overall goals and capabilities, guiding roles, responsibilities and operational readiness. Mr. Johnson’s work warrants attention to intricate details to maintain the branch’s effectiveness and coordination.

Mr. Johnson previously garnered success as an associate behavioral research scientist at Northrop Grumman in Georgia in 2020, where he conducted research using various behavioral science principles, methodologies and technologies. He also worked on the Georgia Military College’s Columbus campus as a business officer and bookstore manager from 2019 to 2020 and at the MCOE Task Development Branch in Fort Benning, Georgia, as a directorate of training and doctrine between 2013 and 2018. Mr. Johnson began his career with the USA Noncommissioned Officer Academy in Fort Knox, Kentucky, as a senior small group leader from 2008 to 2011. A military veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Army for over two decades before retiring as a sergeant first class in 2018.

A graduate of Strayer University in West Palm Beach, Florida, Mr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2021 and is now pursuing a Master of Business Administration on campus. Besides his work-related commitments, Mr. Johnson has been known for his generosity. He enjoys supporting local causes and organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and The Salvation Army. These organizations reflect his dedication to the community and cause dear to him.

Mr. Johnson’s tenure in the U.S. Army was recognized with numerous awards. He also received multiple impact awards for his civilian contributions, including several Educational Impact Awards.

Grateful for his success, Mr. Johnson attributes much of it to his ability to build a great rapport with colleagues, senior staff members and clients. He also works well in groups and alone, is adamant about his ethical values, and believes in the significance of lifelong learning and mentoring opportunities. Mr. Johnson’s military has also developed his work ethic and leadership skills.

Eager for the future of his civilian career, Mr. Johnson is poised to continue advancing in his roles with the U.S. Department of Defense. Once he completes his master’s degree, he intends to pursue a supervisory role where he can have a more significant impact in his field.
