Grant D. Kimball, Veteran Liaison and Public Relations at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit and veteran affairs.

Within the Veterans Affairs sphere and the National Cemetery Administration system, Mr. Kimball has gained many years of experience working with veterans and disabled veterans. As a veteran himself, he is well-suited to connecting with veteran clientele and their families to explain available benefits and answer questions. He works extensively with the Department of Veterans Affairs committee program and coordinates with companies and organizations to provide discounts for employees and their families. The program offers free burials for homeless veterans as well as for first responders, emergency medical services (EMS) paramedics, firefighters and police personnel who pass in the line of duty. Mr. Kimball strives to promote these programs within the community and raise awareness among different first responder organizations.

At Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Mr. Kimball focuses on understanding clients’ needs and requests without direct sales. He assists clients with Veterans Affairs paperwork, engages with veterans to initiate conversations and determines eligibility for national cemetery prequalification. Through his work, he hopes to bridge the gap between veterans and necessary resources, assisting veterans as a Disabled American Veterans service officer in acquiring disability benefits and securing burial benefits for their families. He has worked with the funeral home and memorial park since 2024, prior to which he served as the chief operating officer of the OC Consulting Group. In addition, he is currently involved with the Veterans Affairs office in North Florida as well as the North Florda South Georgia Wellness Coalition, whose primary mission is suicide prevention. Due to his position and experience, he can work with first responders and veterans to achieve positive progress, providing support to veterans upon release from long-term psychiatric care. The coalition supplies these veterans with housing or additional treatment both nationally and internationally through support programs. Locally, he sits on the board of the Tallahassee National Cemetery.

Mr. Kimball began his military career in the United States Army shortly after graduating high school, achieving a long-held dream. Continuing his family’s legacy in the military, with his grandfather serving in World War II and his uncle in Vietnam, he dedicated himself to his own service. He spent most of his career in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, not returning to the United States until his retirement. Initially serving as an infantryman, he later became a classified courier before emerging as a subject matter expert in power generation and distribution. Notably, he authored the 2010 Army Tactical Operation Center Manual on the subject. He attributes much of his career success to his willingness to embrace challenges and take on responsibilities, describing himself as someone who never says no. Whether tasked with something unconventional or outside his expertise, he remains dedicated, seeking to become the best at it.

Moving forward, Mr. Kimball plans to form a partnership to establish a Veterans Affairs hospice in the Tallahassee area. He strives to grow the Veteran’s Wellness Coalition into a robust organization with a special focus on mental health recovery and reintegrating veterans into society. He intends to provide further support for veterans in South Georgia and expand the affinity program in that area.
