Between 2006 and 2009, he was a member of the U.S. States Customs and Border Protection. He would later venture into private military contracting, through which he fulfilled a variety of contracts in Iraq, Kosovo, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany. Well-regarded across the width and breadth of his career journey, Mr. Orr has received numerous accolades, including his induction as a member of the Order of the Sword and Shield, on the Wall of Honor at the National Air and Space Museum at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian Institution, and various law enforcement, military and editorial awards.
