Col. John F. O’Sullivan Jr., a retired colonel at the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of military service.

With over 50 years of experience to his credit in his chosen field, Col. O’Sullivan found success as a member of the U.S. Air Force, where he rose to the rank of a colonel prior to his retirement in 1995. Throughout the course of his service, his expertise resided in command and control, as well as in communications and computer systems. Among his accomplishments in the military, Col. O’Sullivan is most proud to have served as the commander of the 2184th and 2045th Communications Squadrons, and to have been recognized several times by the Departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force for his excellence.  

Following his departure from the armed forces, Col. O’Sullivan entered the field of education, through which he served as an executive director of a school system in North Carolina, after which he found success as the superintendent at schools in Rochester, New York, Savannah, Georgia, and in Minnesota. Throughout this time, he was gratified to sustain the achievements and success of both the students and teachers under his supervision. Despite having retired, Col. O’Sullivan continues to contribute his services alongside his wife to CyberPatriot, an Air Force program that works in conjunction with the Naval ROTC to teach high school students. 

Col. O’Sullivan initially studied education at Indiana University, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1967. Following this achievement, he continued his academic pursuits at Western New England University, where he received a Master of Business Administration in 1970.
