A U.S. Army veteran who provided 20 years of honorable service in the military, Ms. Walden in 2021 became an outreach director with The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, a nationwide system of mental health clinics that supports and delivers quality care to post-9/11 veterans and their families. Leveraging her many contacts in the military and community, she oversees the clinic’s strategic plan for outreach and cultivating the referral network, with an emphasis on helping veterans recognize when they need help. Previously, she served as a data manager for the clinic between 2018 and 2021.
An expert in mediation and conflict resolution, Ms. Walden has compiled an impressive academic and professional background, including a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Georgia Southwestern University. She additionally obainted an Advanced Coaching Certification from the International Coaching Federation and the Women in Leadership Accelerator. Moreover, she has been named an Equal Opportunity Advisor and Mediator and a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer. Over the course of her career of service in the military, she earned three Meritorious Service Medals, the Joint Services Commendation Medal, four U.S. Army Commendation Medals, two Joint Services Achievement Medals, six U.S. Army Achievement Medals, a Volunteer Award Medal and the Knowlton Award.
Ms. Walden maintains a number of memberships with organizations related to her field, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Non-Commissioned Officers Association, and the Veterans Healthy Minds Advisory Council South Texas. She also has affiliations with several important female veteran organizations, including the International Association of Military Women of Color, The Pink Berets, the Women Veterans Network, the Women Veterans of San Antonio and Grace After Fire. Having grown up in a family devoted to military service, she attributes her personal and professional success to the strong work ethic and determination to succeed that were instilled in her as a child.
