Ms. Piper has established herself as a distinguished professional in spiritual care, currently serving as an active duty chaplain in the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps in Georgia since 2022. Serving God and her country, her role involves providing mentorship and discipleship for women entrepreneurs, a testament to her commitment to fostering growth and empowerment among women. Additionally, Ms. Piper has been involved with the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, as a clinical pastoral education provider since 2024, where she continues to hone her expertise in spiritual care.
A career journey marked by a series of significant roles that have shaped her professional identity, Ms. Piper served as a chaplain at Providence in Los Angeles County from 2021 to 2022 and was a U.S Army Reserve chaplain for the military in the same area between 2020 and 2022. Her dedication to spiritual guidance was previously demonstrated during her tenure as a chaplain resident at Providence Health & Services in Los Angeles County, which began in 2018. These experiences have all contributed to Ms. Piper’s reputation as an expert in the field. Adding to her background, she excelled as a minister-in-training at Trinity Baptist Church in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she developed her pastoral skills from 2015 to 2018.
Ms. Piper’s earlier career involved gaining valuable leadership experience with organizations such as FedEx Office in New Jersey between 2012 and 2016, where she served in various roles, including production coordinator, parcel management specialist, center lead coordinator and assistant manager. As a manager, she was responsible for leading a center business unit and ensuring a positive customer experience. Ms. Piper also worked for Adapt to Anything Marketing as an executive editor in New York City from 2010 to 2012 and as the vice president of Ramapo Christian Fellowship at the Change Collegian Network between 2010 and 2012.
Instrumental in her career achievements, Ms. Piper received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2011 and a Master of Divinity in pastoral counseling and specialized ministries from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, in 2016. She also completed several internships while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Ms. Piper’s educational foundation equipped her with the theological knowledge necessary for her roles in spiritual care, as well as strong communication skills that have been invaluable throughout her career.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Piper is actively involved with several professional organizations, including HCPE, Psychology Today, and ROZ Veterans Groups. Her civic-minded spirit is evident through her associations with Goodwill Industries International and The Salvation Army USA, where she contributes to community welfare initiatives.
Ms. Piper attributes much of her success to the support of her diverse family and her faith. This strong foundation allows her to create safe spaces for individuals from all backgrounds. Looking ahead, she aspires to become the first female chief of chaplains in the U.S. Army with the goal of serving for another 20 to 25 years. Additionally, Ms. Piper seeks to receive certification as a chaplain educator, which will take approximately five years or more to complete, and publish at least 10 books that will encourage and support families on their journey toward health, love and prosperity.
