Ms. Rowley has dedicated nearly three decades to her profession, currently excelling as a senior project manager at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs since 2023. In this role, she actively participates in daily meetings to discuss project priorities and updates, conducts interviews and focus groups with stakeholders, and synthesizes data to inform design improvements. Her commitment to enhancing customer experiences is evident through her efforts in conducting workshops and gathering insights from various stakeholders.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Rowley worked as a human-centered designer at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs from 2020 to 2023. During this time, she led the VBA Women’s Benefits Experience Project, a significant initiative that spanned from 2020 to 2022. This project involved a comprehensive human-centered design process aimed at addressing the needs of women veterans. A notable outcome was the My Journey workshop, which was adopted by the Disabled American Veterans Association and piloted at their national convention in 2022.

From 2018 to 2020, Ms. Rowley was active as a program analyst and CAG action officer for the United States Air Force. She previously found success as a veterans affairs benefits adviser and site lead for Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. in 2014 and as a human factors psychology technician at the Federal Aviation Administration from 2014 to 2018. She was also recruited as an assessment specialist at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service from 2011 to 2012 and as a program coordinator at Texas A&M Health Science Center from 2012 to 2013.

Ms. Rowley’s career began in the U.S. Air Force, where she served as a visual information specialist from 1997 to 2000 and a force support officer from 2003 to 2012. Her extensive experience in both military and civilian roles has been complemented by her membership in industry-related organizations such as the Project Management Institute, Inc., International Society for Performance Improvement, and Disabled American Veterans.

Ms. Rowley’s academic achievements have played a crucial role in her professional development. Over the years, she has earned an Associate of Science in audiovisual production services from the Community College of the Air Force in 2000, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Portland in 2003, a Master of Arts in educational leadership and administration, summa cum laude, from Touro University Worldwide in 2005, and, ultimately, a Master of Arts in psychology from Northcentral University in 2009. These educational accomplishments have provided her with a strong foundation for her work in human-centered design and project management.

Ms. Rowley holds several certifications that further enhance her expertise, including Onward to Opportunity from the Institute for Veterans and Military Families obtained in 2024. She previously acquired her Forrester CX Pro Certification from Forrester and Operational Customer Experience Management Level 1 Certification from Medallia in 2020. These certifications underscore her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Throughout her esteemed career, Ms. Rowley has been guided by her sense of servant leadership and the principle of “service before self,” values instilled during her time with the Air Force. She is passionate about advocating for veterans, particularly women veterans, and raising awareness about mental health issues such as trichotillomania. As she looks toward future opportunities, Ms. Rowley is focused on remote job prospects that align with her skills while continuing her advocacy work for underserved communities like Native American veterans.
