Roosvelt M. Porto, MSG (ret.), chief executive officer and principal consultant at Bamfer Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military service and consulting.

With over three decades of experience, Mr. Porto has established a successful career in military service and consulting, specializing in project management, IT service management, and best practice consulting. He is the owner and an independent consultant at Bamfer Consulting, which he established in 2023. In this role, he manages client tasks, consults on and facilitates migrations from self-hosted on-premises systems to the cloud, and provides updates for best practice consulting clients. His experience also includes serving as head of customer success advocates at Adaptavist in 2023, consulting team lead and managing consultant at Adaptavist from 2022 to 2023, senior technology consultant at Adaptavist from 2021 to 2022, a senior associate and senior Jira consultant and administrator at PwC Acceleration Centers from 2017 to 2021, and portfolio coordinator at HireRight LLC, from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, he worked as an implementation consultant at ADP from 2016 to 2017 and held leadership roles during his military service, including chief of operations, operations director, and human resources director with the U.S. Army in El Paso from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, he served MG Stephan Twitty as an aide while Twitty was commanding general of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss in 2015.

Mr. Porto’s military career includes serving as operations manager for the U.S. Army in El Paso, Texas, from 2011 to 2012 and as administrative services manager, emergency management director, and security management specialist from 1996 to 2012. He was first sergeant and participated in the Adaptive Leader Pilot Course in Watertown, New York, from 2010 to 2011, operations sergeant in Watertown from 2009 to 2010, and a soldier based in Fayetteville, North Carolina, from 1996 to 2009. He also dedicates his time to several organizations, including Axelos Ltd. since 2022, the Project Management Institute since 2018, and the Society for Human Resource Management since 2016. Additionally, he has been a member of the Sergeant Morales Club since 2004, and volunteered as a mentor for transitioning veterans in Columbia, South Carolina, from 2017 to 2022.

Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Porto earned an Associate of Arts in business and organizational development from American InterContinental University in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in human resources management and personnel administration from Ashford University in 2016. He completed coursework in program management at Capella University and a certificate in health care management from Cornell University. He holds numerous certifications, including project management principles from the University of South Carolina, leadership and management from Notre Dame, and multiple credentials in human resource management, Lean Six Sigma, and organizational effectiveness from Villanova University.

Reflecting on his path, Mr. Porto takes great pride in venturing out as a business owner and his military career. A standout moment was his final assignment with the U.S. Army, where he operated as the equivalent of a chief operating officer at the direction of the commanding general and enlisted advisor, managing the global operations for 37,000 troops. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with the Top Performer award from ADP, the Meritorious Service Medal in 2015, two Bronze Star Medals in 2006 and 2010, the Army Commendation Medal with Valor in 2007, and induction into the Sergeant Morales Club in 2005. He attributes his success to his willingness to challenge himself and embrace self-directed learning. In the coming years, he plans to expand his business by building a strong team, leveraging his extensive network of eager and talented professionals. His primary focus is on enhancing lead generation and pipeline-building efforts to support this growth. He also envisions global expansion for his business, starting with support in the EMEA region and gradually extending into Asian and Latin American markets.
