Dr. Dockery embarked on his educational journey with a bachelor’s degree in multi-interdisciplinary studies with a focus on religious studies from The Catholic University of America. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Science in leadership and management at the same institution. Dr. Dockery concluded his studies with a Doctor of Business Administration, specializing in leadership and management, from Walden University. Following these accomplishments, he completed certification in equal employment opportunity and diversity from the Defense Equal Opportunity and Management Institute.

Dr. Dockery traversed various roles throughout his career, initially serving as superintendent at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations headquarters from 1987 to 2007. Transitioning to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), he held the position of inspections analyst and assessment director within the Office of The Inspector General from 2007 to 2008. Progressing through the ranks, he assumed roles as deputy director and later as acting director within the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at DISA from 2008 to 2013. Subsequently, he has excelled as a management consultant and analyst at DISA since 2014, concurrently working as a senior diversity, equity, and inclusion officer for the United States Air Force since 2022.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Dockery has excelled as an influential figure advocating for inclusion and diversity. His journey embodies resilience and dedication, underscored by his decorated tenure in the Air Force. One standout achievement on his path was achieving academic distinction and earning honors in both undergraduate and graduate studies while juggling full-time work and military duties. Looking ahead, Dr. Dockery envisions a path into writing, with hopes to publish a book, and aspires to establish his own company before retiring from civil service. His advice for aspiring professionals underscores fostering inclusive cultures and recognizing their inherent benefits.
