In 2018, Mr. Rhodes became a certified insurance broker for accident, health, life, variable life and variable annuity insurance through the California Department of Insurance. In 2017, he became a certified insurance agent for accident, health, life, variable life and variable annuity insurance with the same organization. Prior to his current endeavors, he served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear reactor operator from 1988 to 1994.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Rhodes earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology at Bowdoin College in 1987. In 1989, he completed coursework in reactor operations and naval propulsion at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command’s Nuclear Power School. Mr. Rhodes concluded his higher education at the University of Southern California, where he earned a Swim with Mike Academic Scholarship, graduating with a Master of Social Work in 2016. Alongside his primary endeavors, he has found success through his creative works, authoring “Rules of Engagement: A Self-Help Guide for Those Overcoming Major Personal Trauma” with XLIBRIS in 2013. To keep abreast of his career field, Mr. Rhodes is a member of the American Legion and a member of the board of directors for Paralyzed Veterans of America.
