Richard R. Sklar II, retired colonel from the United States Army, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military command.
Bolstered by more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Sklar has cultivated a fulfilling military career. For 21 years, he honorably served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of colonel prior to his retirement. As a leader in the field, he primarily commanded a 600-man infantry, in addition to overseeing a mechanized infantry battalion for two years in Germany and reporting to the vice chief of staff of the Army during a special project. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Sklar also previously excelled as a sales manager in Denver, Colorado, and as the vice president of AXA in New York.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Sklar pursued a formal education. After graduating from his military academy in 1962 and beginning his service, he subsequently continued his studies and achieved a Master of Business Administration at the University of Missouri in 1969. In his other professional pursuits, Mr. Sklar served on the board of directors for the Cherry Creek School District in Colorado for several years. Attributing much of his success to the guidance of his mentors, he is particularly proud of his work overseas, where he aided Russian officials in improving their market economy.
