Col. Danny G. Sprouse, USAF (Retired), Retired Colonel at U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military logistics.

With more than 40 years of experience to his credit, Col. Sprouse is currently retired, having most recently excelled in a number of roles with P.E. Building Systems Inc. between 2002 and 2015, including as a senior enterprise and acquisition manager, an ISR enterprise manager, a senior logistics manager and the vice president of the services group. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 30 years, initially being recruited as a PMEL officer-in-charge, an assistant maintenance supervisor, avionics maintenance squadron and fighter branch officer-in-charge with the 21st Organizational Maintenance Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base from 1974 to 1977. Col. Sprouse subsequently found success through his esteemed military service until his retirement in 2002, operating in administrative posts with the 380th Bombardment Wing at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, TUSLOG Detachment 184 in Balikesir, Turkey, the 92nd Avionics Maintenance Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base, the Strategic Air Command and the 55th Organization Maintenance Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, the 6th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing and the 354th Logistics Group at Eielson Air Force Base, the 366th Logistics Group at the Mountain Home Air Force Base, the Headquarters Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base, and the Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Before embarking on his professional path, Col. Sprouse pursued an education at South Dakota State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in secondary education and agriculture education in 1972. He continued his academic efforts at the University of Southern California, graduating with a master’s degree in systems management in 1980. Col. Sprouse concluded his studies with logistics coursework at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and environmental risk communications training at Columbia University. 

Having proudly helped to raise more than $100,000 for a local parish, Col. Sprouse was additionally active as an on-call aircraft investigator and a teacher of mechanics, carpentry and welding. As a testament to his exceptional endeavors, he has been presented with a Leadership Award from P.E. Building Systems Inc. as well as numerous military accolades, such as the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendations and Achievement Medals and National Defense Service Medals, among others. Looking toward the future, Col. Sprouse hopes to train young people in agricultural careers while traveling, helping their priest and volunteering with local organizations.
