Courtney Kittrell, master chief officer in the United States Navy and radio show host of Unapologetically Favored, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in naval and public service.

With over two decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Kittrell has cultivated a career of excellence in military service and a number of creative pursuits. Since 1999, she has honorably served with the United States Navy, currently holding the rank of master chief petty officer (E-9). As part of her duties, she is a senior enlisted leader in the Navy Personnel Command and Task Force Talent Management, in addition to working in the aviation administration. Additionally, Ms. Kittrell previously served in Strike Fighter Squadron Three Seven from 2017 to 2020 and as an administration officer in the Mid-Atlantic Fleet Readiness Center from 2008 to 2010.

Outside of her military career, Ms. Kittrell has also pursued several notable creative endeavors, including as an author, public speaker, and radio show host. Since 2019, she has published several books, including “Never Be Afraid To Eat Alone” in 2022, “Wake Up. Turn Up. Bless Up.: Beautiful Inspiration for Her” in 2020, and “Unapologetically Favored: A woman. A leader. A testimony.” In 2019. She would subsequently begin her own radio show in 2022 called Unapologetically Favored, where she discusses her own personal struggles and serves as a staunch mentor to others. Ms. Kittrell also remains active as a civic-minded citizen, participating with the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation since 2016 and as a judge and mentor for the Chicago High School NJROTC Program since 2014.

As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Kittrell has also pursued a formal education. After earning an associate’s degree in business administration and management and an associate’s degree in supervisor management at Coastline College, she subsequently received a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership at the University of Charleston in 2020. She also holds several field-related certifications, including as a life coach and a postsecondary instructor. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Kittrell was honored with a Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2015, which included a letter from President Barack Obama himself.

In light of her accomplished career, Ms. Kittrell attributes much of her success to her trusting nature and positive outlook on life. Additionally, she counts herself lucky to be surrounded by many supportive and nurturing individuals, including her grandfather, who previously served in the United States Army. Accounting for her achievements, she is most notably proud of her work as a writer, which greatly helped her in her own healing process. In the coming years, Ms. Kittrell hopes to complete a master’s degree program in organizational leadership, and she looks forward to retiring from military service in 2024.
