Pamela Katurah Brown-Bailey, Retired Yeoman First Class with the United States Navy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in service.
Fulfilling a childhood dream, Ms. Brown-Bailey enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1979 and retired as a highly decorated veteran in 1999. In recognition of her dedication and valor, she was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, five Good Conduct Awards, a National Defense Service Medal and an Armed Forces Reserve Medal.
Following her retirement from military service, Ms. Brown-Baily excelled as an employee of Raytheon Technical Services Company for seven years. She holds an associate degree in art history from the University of South Carolina at Lancaster.
Serving her country as a member of the U.S. military for two decades is Brown-Bailey’s proudest career accomplishment. As a child, she had been captivated by Navy recruitment commercials she saw television, and dreamed of the opportunities for travel that service in the military would bring. In the coming years, Ms. Brown-Bailey, who met and served with her husband in the Navy, looks forward to continuing to thrive in her retirement, while traveling and spending quality time with her family.
