Johnnie Whiteside, Personnel Supervisor at United States Air Force, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources supervision.
Mr. Whiteside served his country for over two decades as a personnel superintendent with the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1976. During his time with the Air Force, he was awarded a Bronze Star, two Meritorious Service Awards, an Air Force Good Conduct Medal, an Army Good Conduct Medal with two Bronze Loops and five Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Whiteside’s missions included an 18-month tour in France and one year tour in Vietnam.
Following his service, Mr. Whiteside excelled with the medical science staff with the University of Arkansas from 1976 to 1993. Earlier, he had obtained a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. As a career highlight, Mr. Whiteside cites being called to work for a division commander when he was a tech sergeant and completed Air Force Academy training while working for him.
