David William Boyle, retired lieutenant commander with the United States Navy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military service.
Since serving as a Sea Scout in high school, Mr. Boyle knew that a career with the United States Navy was his calling. For nearly three decades, he was revered for his service, climbing up the ranks and retiring as a lieutenant commander in 1988. Recognized as a Fourth Degree Knight by the Knights of Columbus, Mr. Boyle is honored to have been presented with the Navy Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal and multiple Sea Service Ribbons for his service. Supplementing his professional career, he remains active with the American Legion and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Mr. Boyle is gratified to have contributed as a naval aviator as part of the United States Naval Academy. Previously, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in naval science from the aforementioned institution in 1966 in an effort to gain insight and experience before enlisting. He later graduated with a master’s equivalent degree in curriculum instructional management from the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Lakehurst, New Jersey. Thereafter, he earned a Master of Science in aeronautical systems from the University of West Florida in 1971. In addition to his military service, Mr. Boyle has found success as a long haul truck driver for 10 years, a substitute teacher in mathematics and science, a maintenance technician for the Harbor Hotel for two years and a bus driver for RTS Ontario for five years.
