Walter R. Collins, Retired Vietnam Veteran and Civil Servant within the United States Navy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of military achievements and urban agriculture.
Mr. Collins valiantly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his time overseas, Mr. Collins dedicated his time to writing. His work was first published in 1972 and later in 2002. In recognition of his literary prowess, Mr. Collins won an award from the International Poets Society for his poem “Me Thinks, Me Thinks, Me Thinks Too Much.”
Mr. Collins became involved in his profession because he wanted people to be aware of themselves, and he encourages collaboration rather than competition. He attributes his success to being persistent, tenacious and dedicated to his goals. Currently, Mr. Collins focuses on evolving educational counseling with a focus in decentralized observation and active listening. Furthermore, he enjoys advancing volunteerism via urban agriculture and tree planting, and he hopes to continue pursuing his interests in the years to come.
