Rachel M. Copeland, Staff Operations and Training Specialist for the 98th Training Division (IET) of the United States Army Reserves, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in administration and budget management.
Since 2016, Ms. Copeland has proudly served as the Staff Operations and Training Specialist for the 98th Training Division (IET) of the United States Army Reserves. After completing some college coursework, Ms. Copeland dedicated herself to a career in the United States Armed Forces, spending more than 20 years on active duty before transitioning to administrative and citizen-soldier roles. The 98th Training Division has offered basic and advanced combat training, as well as officer education and professional development courses, to soldiers and Army Reservists since the 1950s. As Staff Operations and Training Specialist, Ms. Copeland is responsible for managing the division’s annual budget, including paperwork and regulatory compliance, and she hopes to become certified in the United States Army Finance Division within five years.
Ms. Copeland has been named UA of the Year and honored with numerous performance awards for her commitment and detail-orientedness throughout her career. Following many other step increases, Ms. Copeland rose from a GS7 to a GS9 with her most recent promotion, and she is proud to have excelled in a broad range of many diverse roles. She attributes her success to being humble and driven and counsels others that the key to growth is to remain focused on goals and potential outcomes rather than any setbacks that may arise.
