Lt. Col. Lamont Relf Gibson USAF, Retired Diplomat, Lt. Col. and Executive, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military intelligence and real estate.
Inspired by the influence of his uncle, who was in the U.S. Air Force, Lt. Col. Gibson followed his lead and joined the service right after high school. Notably, he went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 2002, with time spent in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. During his illustrious 38-year military career, Lt. Col. Gibson cites serving as an intelligence contractor in Afghanistan and Iraq was the most rewarding, as he was able to save hundreds of lives by preventing them from being subjective to explosive devices. To attest to his success, he holds a Vietnam Service Medal of Valor from the U.S. Air Force, as well as a Joint Achievement Accommodation, Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal. Lt. Col. Gibson is backed by a Bachelor of Arts in administration justice from American University and a Master of Science in political science from the University of Maryland.
Alongside his military service, Lt. Col. Gibson was a police officer with the Washington State Police Department, deputy director for equal employment opportunity for Quanaco Marine Corp and Developmental Education Command and director of equal employment opportunity for a Defense Information Systems Agency, each for three years. Additionally, he also worked in federal government plans and processing for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, along with roles as deputy director for complaint processing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, director of equal employment opportunity for the National Credit Union Administration and intelligence joint chief of staff for the Department of Defense. Today, Lt. Col. Gibson is the president and chief executive officer of Gibson Properties, a role he commenced in 2007 with his real estate license. He has also been a real estate agent with Exit Realty Landmark since 2020.
