Elijah Ross, House Committee at the American Legion Post 2, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in veteran’s affairs.
With decades of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Ross currently excels as the House Committee Chairman for the American Legion Post 2, a nonprofit veterans service organization with which he is additionally active as a volunteer member. Moreover, he had found success in the field of information technology as an operations specialist for PDSystems Inc. from 2010 to 2017. He further flourished as a computer hardware technician and a customer assistance representative for Logistics Management Resources Inc. from 1999 to 2010. Mr. Ross previously worked as a logistics analyst with Innovative Logistics Techniques between 1996 and 1999.
Beyond these professional commitments, Mr. Ross proudly completed nearly 30 years of service in the U.S. Army as a supply sergeant, a sergeant major and a logistician. During this time, he had advanced through a number of ranks in the U.S. military, including operations sergeant, a first sergeant and a command sergeant major, and between 1985 and 1996. Likewise, Mr. Ross is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, class 32 from 1988 to 1989.
In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Ross pursued a formal education at El Paso Community College, earning an Associate of Applied Science in management science in 1989. He continued his academic efforts at the ITT Technical Institute, through which he obtained an Associate of Applied Science in computer network systems in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in information system security in 2009. Furthermore, Mr. Ross earned a certification in COMPtia Security in 2009.
Attributing his success to his passion for his work as well as his decision to re-enlist in the U.S. Army, Mr. Ross was presented with a number of accolades for his exemplary professional ventures, including the Legion of Merit, three (3) Meritorious Service Medals, three (3) Army Commendation Medals, and numerous Certificates of Achievements. Additionally, he was chosen as Legionnaire of the year for 2019 -2020 by the Commander of the American Legion Post 2 in 2020. He was drawn to his specific career path after being drafted in the U.S. Army, as he was needed as a manager to help supply critical ammunition to Grenada. Looking toward the future, Mr. Ross hopes to continue contributing to the American Legion Post 2, regardless of the responsibilities required of him, while cementing his legacy as an honest, loyal and hard-working figure in his areas of expertise.
