More recently, she was appointed as an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Ms. Everett previously found success as a licensed cosmetologist with Diva Hair Weaver from 1987 to 2000. Proud of the fact that she can care for others and volunteer her services through her position with the U.S. Navy, she attributes her success to her hard work, perseverance and her wonderful son, to whom she hopes to be a role model. Inspired by her grandmother, a nurse, and her father, a door to door salesman who worked with beauty cosmetics, Ms. Everett has accrued a wealth of academic credits, including a graduate certificate in cosmetology from New York Beauty School and a certificate of completion of apprenticeship from the U.S. Department of Labor. Likewise, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in organizational management and a Master of Arts in teaching and learning with technology from Ashford University. She cites her humanitarian assistance in 2011 to aid those affected by hurricanes and earthquakes among the highlights of her career, in addition to her opportunity to provide an education for incoming soldiers and navigators. Looking toward the future, Ms. Everett hopes to shift her focus towards international education in an administrative position in either Dubai, the United Arab Emirates or Bahrain.
