Robert L. Andrews III, Emergency Medical Technician, Private Investigator and Personal Protection Officer at Allied Universal, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in emergency medical technology.
In 1991, Mr. Andrews began volunteering with his local Alvin, Texas fire department and felt connected to the work. In his upbringing, he was constantly moving and wished to have a solid set of friends, which he soon found from volunteering. Discovering his passion for service, Sergeant Baker recommended Mr. Andrews consider joining the U.S. Army and further found aid to help him pay to finish his GED testing. Mr. Andrews officially joined the U.S. Army in 1987. Once he finished his active duty service, he stayed on with the U.S. Army Reserve until 2009. Since then, he has been helping others in numerous capacities. Mr. Andrews received an Associate of Applied Science in criminal justice and emergency medical technology and an Associate of Applied Science in fire science from Trinity Valley Community College in 2016. He then earned a Bachelor of Science in fire services management, with honors, from Southern Illinois University in 2017.
After his military service, Mr. Andrews became an EMT-B of the VA Medical Disaster Response Team, where he remains to this day. From 2014 to 2015, he was a firefighter with Payne Springs Fire Department. In 2015, he became a SKYWARN spotter volunteer with KG5MRe HAM Radio and continues to serve in addition to his multiple endeavors. Since 2017, he has also been an EMT Basic PRN with Amphibious Medics, as well as an event medic PRN with Futuretech Staffing and an emergency medical technician, private investigator and personal protection officer with Allied Universal. As a testament to his success, Mr. Andrews received a Volunteer Award for fundraising from the Payne Springs Fire Department.
