Major Darrell E. Sheppeard, Director of Logistics at the United States Army, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Growing up in a family of military men, Mr. Sheppeard always planned on pursuing a career with the armed forces. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he enlisted with the United States Army after graduating from high school. Since 1995, he has maintained active duty as a soldier and officer. However, Mr. Sheppeard did not forget about his education. In 2008, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in classical linguistics from Austin Peay State University. Later, in 2015, he acquired a Master’s in transportation and logistics management from the American Military University. Currently, Mr. Sheppeard is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Capella University. He is expected to graduate in 2023.
Throughout his time with the military, Mr. Sheppeard has upheld a number of roles. From 2016 until 2017, he excelled as a detachment chief and logistics advisor to the Royal Saudi Land Forces. From there, he became an assistant professor of military service at Western Kentucky University. In 2019, he took on the title of logistics officer and support operations officer for the 10th Special Forces Group. He continues to demonstrate success in this position today, as he is passionate about serving his country and helping others.
An active member of his field, Mr. Sheppeard maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations. These include the Teacher of the Years Association, T Honor Society, Theta Sigma Phi, and the Masons. Looking toward the future, he hopes to complete his doctorate studies and write a book. Though he would like to take on a new and refreshing role, Mr. Sheppeard would ideally like to continue working in the logistics arena. He does not see himself retiring any time soon, as he is excited to see what he can accomplish in the coming years.
