Douglas P. Yurovich, Marine Officer at SAIC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
A graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Yurovich earned a Bachelor of Science in math and education in 1979. Later, in 1992, he acquired a Master’s in aviation systems from the University of Tennessee, which was followed by another Master’s in military arts and sciences from the Marine Corps University in 1997. By 2001, he had earned a Master’s in strategic studies from the United States Army War College. In 2015, after many years of success, Dr. Yurovich returned to school and earned a PhD in organizational leadership from Capella University.
From 1975 until 2006, Dr. Yurovich excelled as a member of the United States Marine Corps. During his time with the military, he upheld numerous roles, such as ground safety officer, pilot training officer, and operations officer. His final title prior to retirement was that of the Air Wing 9 commander and deputy commander, in which he demonstrated success from 2004 until 2006. In light of his multitude of accomplishments, Dr. Yurovich earned numerous Legions of Merit, Meritorious Service Medals, and Air Medals from the Marine Corps. As a further testament to his success, he is featured in several editions of Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in American High Schools.
