William I. Lin, MD, BS, and EMT at the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medicine.
At the age of 19, Dr. Lin came to the United States from Taiwan. He earned a high score on his SAT, which is what got him accepted into the University of California Irvine. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. Later, in 2012, he acquired an MD from the American University of the Caribbean’s School of Medicine. In the following years, he gained experience as a research fellow at the University of California Irvine Medical Center and as a resident at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center. More recently, in 2019, Dr. Lin was board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, which followed up his earlier licensures in the states of New York and California.
From 2017 until 2019, Dr. Lin became involved with the United States Air Force, serving as a captain. Though it was a shift from his intended career path, he has never regretted his decision to join the military. Currently, he is upholding the roles of captain, OMRS physician, and PAD director for the Base Operational Medicine Clinic. He additionally works as an urgent care physician for Coastal Family Medicine Inc. when he is available. Looking back on his accomplishments thus far, Dr. Lin attributes his success to his mother. She was always his strongest supporter. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys mountain diving, swimming, snowboarding, and long-distance running. Dr. Lin plans to remain in the military for the foreseeable future, as he hopes to continue practicing his expertise and expanding his knowledge.
