With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Baum has been retired since 2016, having excelled as a senior statistical analyst with Sears Holding Corporation since 2008. Prior to obtaining this role, he worked as a project consultant with Dell from 2006 to 2008. He previously held a number other positions with Sears Holding Corporation, including as a senior business analyst from 2002 to 2006, a team manager from 2000 to 2002 and a process analyst from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Baum retired as a full colonel of the United States Air Force in 1998.
Mr. Baum further flourished as the director of studies analyst at AMC Headquarters from 1996 to 1998 and the deputy division chief of the acquisition and technology joint staff from 1993 to 1996. He previously served as the chief of aeronautics at Air Force Studies in Analysis from 1991 to 1992 and a staff assistant of operations for the 596 Bombardment Squadron from 1990 to 1991, where he was previously an instructor pilot from 1989 to 1991 and a flight commander from 1988 to 1991. Earlier in his career, Mr. Baum found success as a senior force structure analyst at Strategic Air Command Headquarters from 1984 to 1987, a B-52 aircraft commander with the 69 Bombardment Squadron from 1977 to 1981 and a member of the B-52 combat crew for the 4017 Combat Crew Training Squadron from 1976 to 1977.
